VICTORIAN BURR WALNUT ANTIQUE SIDE TABLE
DESCRIPTION
A very good quality Victorian antique side table in the Aesthetic movement style with burr walnut top crossbanded in amboyna and finished with ebonised moulded edge. The table stands on an elegant base consisting of turned tapering fluted columns finished with carved Greek key design and central urn. There are four outswept legs with finely carved scroll and anthemion motifs with matted background and ebonised detail standing on original castors.
The table top swivels to reveal a storage compartment and when opened reveals a burr walnut interior newly fitted with an inset blue baize.
The table is in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster
