An excellent quality French bronze gilt Victorian period antique mantel or table clock. The finely cast case has beaded detail, acanthus leaf and egg and dart moulding, half round fluted columns to the sides and applied corner foliate design to the front finished with finials and urn to the top.


The clock has colourful hand painted inset porcelain panels within a blue and gilt border and a hand painted porcelain dial with Roman numerals. The movement is a French eight day duration which strikes the hours and half hour on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
