FRENCH ANTIQUE DISPLAY CABINET ATTRIBUTED TO PAUL SORMANI

DESCRIPTION

A magnificent quality French mahogany antique vitrine display cabinet from the Victorian period with bowed ends, original mirror back and glass shelves with a drawer to the front.


The cabinet has an open display base and is stood on turned tapering fluted and stop reeded legs and is fitted with the finest quality bronze gilt mounts and mouldings throughout. The top section of the cabinet  is fitted with an open pierced bronze gilt gallery.

The cabinet has an inset coloured original marble on the top and lower shelf  and retains its original locks which are in full working order with a key.

The cabinet is attributed to the cabinet maker:-

Paul Sormani

Paul Sormani was born in 1817 in Venice and moved to Paris in the mid 19th century. Sormani won many awards for his cabinet making works of art and was renowned for his high level of excellence. He worked up until his death in 1877.

Small goods will be delivered within a couple of working days which are provided with a tracking number. Large items are delivered by a trustworthy carrier and we aim to deliver within two weeks of purchase but please allow three weeks.

We accept returns within 14 days providing the customer pays for the return and the item is in the same condition we sold it in and it is packaged well.
