German Black Forest Carved Walnut Bracket Clock by Lenzkirch
A superb quality German black forest burr walnut bracket clock with fine detailed foliate carving throughout with lions heads capitals, floral leaf carving to the door frame, gadroon moulding, fluted detail and carved pierced sound frets to the sides stood on gadroon moulded base. The clock has a brass dial with scroll leaf and cherub decoration, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and features a slow-fast and strike-silent mechanism.
The movement is a three train, eight day, ting tang which strikes the hours, quarters and half hours on three gongs with pull repeat action.
