French Belle Époque Brass Four Glass Mantel Clock by Japy Freres
A very good quality French Belle Époque brass bow shaped fronted four glass mantel clock with fluted columns, decorative capitals and beaded detail. The clock has a white enamel dial with a compensating pendulum and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.
The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
There is a small chip to the dial near the left winding hole and a small chip to the bevelled glass on the edge of the back door.
