French Belle Epoque Mahogany Four Glass Mantel Clock by Japy Freres
An impressive French Belle Epoque mahogany mantel clock with shaped and moulded plinth base and top and four bevelled glass panels. The clock has fluted Corinthian columns to the front corners finished with good quality bronze gilt capitals, decorative bezel, door frame and pendulum featuring a cherub to the centre.
The clock has a gilt dial with Arabic numerals and a French eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.
The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:-
