English William IV Figured Mahogany Bracket Clock by J & E Mason
A very good quality English figured mahogany chamfer top bracket or table clock with inset corner panels featuring brass moulded edges and ebony mouldings to the front of the case stood on brass ball feet finished with pineapple finial to the top. The clock has fish scale sound frets and decorative floral leaf brass ring carrying handles to the sides of the case.

The movement is a five pillar, twin fusee, eight day with pull repeat action and top pendulum adjustment and holdfast. The clock strikes the hours on a bell.
John and Edward Mason are recorded as watch & clock makers, goldsmiths & jewellers of wedding rings working at 14 St Swithins Street from 1828 through to 1850.
